Barbara Glynn Prodaniuk creates her unique ceramic sculptures and pottery using wheel thrown and slab construction techniques. Sculptural pieces are fired at a variety of temperatures and may include some mixed media elements. Functional ware is fired to cone 10. Porcelain and white stoneware are the clay bodies used and pieces are made in traditional manner with a bit of a creative twist .
Her work is inspired by the events and experiences of daily life as well as the beauty of the surrounding Tahoe and Great Basin areas and their abundant life forms. A Truckee,California resident since 1981, Barbara operates a pottery studio in her home. Her studio is open by appointment .
